Aloha to Aging, Inc. is a local non-profit that empowers family caregivers, aging care receivers and volunteers in a positive, nurturing manner through quality programming. Since 2009, we have assisted over 1000 families to better understand and respond to the ever-changing needs associated with caring for an aging person. Some of our programming includes: ● Aloha Day Club, a therapeutically-structured social adult day respite for those over 55, who no longer drive, and may have mild to moderate impairments. ● Monthly Support Groups for families dealing with: Parkinson's, Alzheimer’s, Caregiver for Age-related illnesses and Bereavement. ● Educational programs ranging from healthy aging to disease specific training to managing care. Program Topics: *Five Wishes *Ask the Pharmacist *Managing Caregiver Stress *Q & A With a Nurse Practitioner *Virtual Dementia Tour *3D’s: Delirium, Dementia, Depression *Parkinson’s Disease and Driving Abilities/Evaluations *Senior Scams and Exploitations *Understanding Medicaid *Many other topics are also available. ● Volunteer opportunities for adults and youth, which enrich both volunteers and recipients. Opportunities include Program Volunteer, Music Volunteer or Food Volunteer. We serve seniors and their families in Cobb, Cherokee, DeKalb, Fulton and Paulding counties. We are the only organization in the area providing these unique services to our community.
