Since 1997, Town Center Community Improvement District (TCCID) has remained focused on one goal—continually improving the vibrant, thriving community that is Town Center. In the past 20 years, it has forged partnerships with property owners, residents, businesses, Kennesaw State University and government agencies, all in an effort to advance the area, leverage the growing opportunities for all sectors and improve property values. Town Center CID is excited to lead this process, welcoming the future in the Town Center area here and now. Town Center is located in the Northwest Corridor of Cobb County and includes 5.7 million square feet of office and retail space, 8.5 miles of scenic trails and access to two interstates. Class A office space in the District recently benefitted from $150M in re-investment and is now at 99% occupancy. The area has the third highest rate of employment growth in Atlanta, with 59% of the job market in high-wage fields. Since its inception, the TCCID has accomplished numerous goals in the community with many more in the works. Along with its partners, the TCCID has invested more than $147 million in infrastructure and beautification projects that improve traffic, safety and access; attract visitors and businesses; and enhance interest and investment in the 6.25- square mile area. The District’s major projects have made a lasting impact for the greater community. With their innovative concepts and data-driven results, its impressive initiatives have been recognized at the local, regional and national level. TCCID expects to continue this trend of success through its recently updated Master Plan, which envisions the next 5-10 years of quality redevelopment for the district. This includes 48 projects that will continue to improve roadway connectivity and enhance existing sites, as well as introduce development plans and studies for more initiatives that elevate the quality of life in the District. Taking into account the District’s recent growth in student population, industry and employment opportunities, part of the TCCID’s vision is to capture this momentum and capitalize on the advantages it offers. Although the District has been a popular retail and dining destination for years, the needs of the community are evolving and the TCCID is dedicated to raising the bar on quality of new and re-development. The TCCID is dedicated to future accomplishments that attract and engage the community and its surrounding area.

Kay Morgan: A Lifelong Advocate for Cobb County

In the heart of West Cobb lives a woman who has dedicated her life to the betterment of her community. Kay Morgan, a seasoned businesswoman, entrepreneur, and community leader, understands the daily struggles and aspirations of Cobb County residents. She knows the frustration of sitting in traffic jams, the burden of high taxes, and the yearning for a community that feels like home. But most importantly, she knows how to bring about the change that this community so desperately needs.

A History of Service

Kay's commitment to Cobb County is not just talk; it's backed by years of active involvement. She has been an active member of Cobb Executive Women since 2014 and currently serves on their Steering Committee, advocating for women in leadership roles. She has served on the Board of the Annual Thanksgiving Golf Classic for the last five years, helping to raise over $800,000 for local children’s charities. Her work with the Center for Family Resources from 2014 to 2020 helped raise funds for families in need. As a member of MUST Ministries in the early '90s, she focused on marketing and volunteer work, ensuring that the organization could reach those who needed help the most.

Her dedication to youth development is evident in her many years of leading church youth groups and through her co-founding of the Men’s Junior Mustangs at KMHS Lacrosse and her board membership for both Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse teams. As a PTA Board Member at Pine Mountain MS and Hayes ES, Kay has been an active volunteer, ensuring that the schools offer a nurturing environment for children.

Professional Excellence

Kay's professional background is as diverse as it is impressive. She was a Vice President at Trust Company Bank, focusing on business development and commercial banking. As President and Co-Owner of Morgan CustomSoft, Inc., she led a Mail Order Catalog Software Company that served clients nationwide. Her role as an Associate Editor and Features Writer at New You Magazine honed her skills in journalism and marketing. Currently, she is a local Realtor serving multiple counties and a member of the Cobb Board of Realtors MultiMillion Dollar Club since 2013.

A Vision for the Future

Kay Morgan is not just another politician; she is a community member with a vision. She believes that the county government has lost its focus, embroiled in internal conflicts and forgetting the people they are supposed to serve. Kay wants to re-invest in the people of Cobb County. Her vision is not to provide for people but to help them find their path to prosperity and defend that path so they can focus on their lives.

Endorsements

Kay's work has not gone unnoticed. She is a Leadership Cobb Class of 2019 graduate and an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Marietta since 2013, where she has held multiple leadership positions. She even chaired the Annual District Governors Rally, drawing an audience of over 450 attendees.

Kay Morgan is not just a candidate; she is a neighbor, a friend, and most importantly, an advocate for the people of Cobb County. She understands that the voters want a good home that's safe for their children, offers opportunity, and respects the diversity of the community. With Kay Morgan, Cobb County doesn't just get a politician; it gets a defender of the community spirit and a champion for effective governance.
