Since 1997, Town Center Community Improvement District (TCCID) has remained focused on one goal—continually improving the vibrant, thriving community that is Town Center. In the past 20 years, it has forged partnerships with property owners, residents, businesses, Kennesaw State University and government agencies, all in an effort to advance the area, leverage the growing opportunities for all sectors and improve property values. Town Center CID is excited to lead this process, welcoming the future in the Town Center area here and now. Town Center is located in the Northwest Corridor of Cobb County and includes 5.7 million square feet of office and retail space, 8.5 miles of scenic trails and access to two interstates. Class A office space in the District recently benefitted from $150M in re-investment and is now at 99% occupancy. The area has the third highest rate of employment growth in Atlanta, with 59% of the job market in high-wage fields. Since its inception, the TCCID has accomplished numerous goals in the community with many more in the works. Along with its partners, the TCCID has invested more than $147 million in infrastructure and beautification projects that improve traffic, safety and access; attract visitors and businesses; and enhance interest and investment in the 6.25- square mile area. The District’s major projects have made a lasting impact for the greater community. With their innovative concepts and data-driven results, its impressive initiatives have been recognized at the local, regional and national level. TCCID expects to continue this trend of success through its recently updated Master Plan, which envisions the next 5-10 years of quality redevelopment for the district. This includes 48 projects that will continue to improve roadway connectivity and enhance existing sites, as well as introduce development plans and studies for more initiatives that elevate the quality of life in the District. Taking into account the District’s recent growth in student population, industry and employment opportunities, part of the TCCID’s vision is to capture this momentum and capitalize on the advantages it offers. Although the District has been a popular retail and dining destination for years, the needs of the community are evolving and the TCCID is dedicated to raising the bar on quality of new and re-development. The TCCID is dedicated to future accomplishments that attract and engage the community and its surrounding area.
