Guided by the belief that nothing is more important than getting the best possible treatment when a child is sick or injured, ARMHC operates two Ronald McDonald Houses – a 50-guestroom House near Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston and a 31-guestroom House near Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite. The Houses provide private accommodations, daily meals, transportation to and from the hospital, laundry facilities, and a sense of community for families who must travel to obtain specialized pediatric medical care. ARMHC is committed to offering a safe haven for those who need it most and delivers services to families. By keeping families together, reducing financial burden, and fostering networks of support, our Houses have an immediate positive impact. In 2023, ARMHC hosted more than 3,000 family visits, providing a “home-away-from-home” for 25,265 nights. Ronald McDonald Care Mobile Reducing barriers to life-changing care, the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile is a collaborative outreach program between ARMHC and Children’s Healthcare at Hughes Spalding bringing asthma education and treatment to elementary and middle school-aged youth in metro neighborhoods where the greatest risk has been identified. Services on the 40-foot mobile clinic are delivered by expert Children’s Asthma Center staff in partnership with Atlanta Public Schools. Since its launch in October 2016, the Care Mobile has conducted over 8,000 visits.
