Leadership Cobb Announces its 2027 Class

Leadership Cobb, one of the Cobb Chamber’s premier leadership development programs, has selected 60 new participants for the 2026-2027 class.

Andy Gaines, Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre, and Tricia Newton, Waterworks Atlanta, will be co-chairs for the 2026-2027 program year. Daniel Cummings, City of Marietta, and Rachel Rogers, Cobb Travel & Tourism, will be the vice co-chairs for the 2026-2027 program year. This year’s class theme is “Me | Us | We.”

Honorary Commanders Nominations Are Open

The Honorary Commanders Association is now accepting nominations for its 2027 class!

This unique leadership program brings together outstanding community and business leaders with military leaders from across our region for an immersive, yearlong experience focused on connection, education, and service. Throughout the year, participants engage directly with military leaders, tour local and regional military assets, and gain firsthand insight into the people and missions that protect our nation.

Ideal candidates for this program are engaged, respected leaders who are committed to strengthening the relationship between our military and civilian communities.

Submit a Nomination: Citizen of the Year Awards

Nominations are now open for the 2026 Citizen of the Year Awards! The Cobb Chamber, in partnership with cities, business associations and various civic partners throughout the community, come together each year to select and recognize outstanding, service-minded individuals across Cobb County. These citizens are chosen for their definable, exceptional deeds, with which he or she has made their community a better place to live.

These awards are presented as a part of the Cobb Chamber’s Area Council programs, and will be presented to individuals in Acworth, Austell, Cumberland, East Cobb, Kennesaw, Mableton, Marietta, Powder Springs, Smyrna, Town Center and West Cobb.
