Public Safety Appreciation Luncheon on Oct. 5

Join us for our annual Public Safety Appreciation Luncheon, where we honor and celebrate Cobb’s public safety personnel. This luncheon serves as our October Marquee Monday event, and we will be recognizing deserving firefighters, police officers, emergency communication and emergency medical personnel with awards for their acts of service in our community.

The Public Safety Appreciation Luncheon kicks off the county-wide Public Safety Appreciation Week, where the businesses are encouraged to show its support and appreciation for all that our public safety agencies do to make Cobb a safe and enjoyable community. Give Our Schools a Hand: Handprint Ceremony and Unveiling on Oct. 1

Join us as we kick-off the 37th year of Give Our Schools a Hand with the Handprint Ceremony and Unveiling at Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre! The 2026-2027 Cobb County and Marietta City Schools District Teachers of the Year will be honored and commended with their handprints in the Teacher Walk of Honor on the Marietta Square.

Manufacturing & Skilled Trades Day, hosted at Chattahoochee Tech North Campus, provides employers with a unique opportunity to invest in the future workforce while inspiring students to explore careers in manufacturing and the skilled trades. Through interactive exhibits, hands-on demonstrations, and conversations with industry professionals, students gain a better understanding of the career opportunities available in our region.

Studio Sessions on Oct. 8

Need a professional headshot? The Cobb Chamber is hosting a head shot event on October 8 at its headquarters. We will have a photographer on-site and digital files directly to your inbox within two weeks.

Participants can sign up for a session to work with our photographer and assistant to pose for two head shot looks and choose two preferred files for professional editing. There are two available spots for each 30-minute time frame. Each session is $75.
