Since 1970, Georgia Highlands College has served Northwest Georgia as a two-year, associate degree-granting institution of the University System of Georgia. Founded as Floyd Junior College, it now serves more than 5,600 students in the region. The Marietta location is the third-largest campus with over 1,200 students. This USG institution provides seamless transfer opportunities to many of the four-year universities within the state.
