🇿🇦 Global Member Highlight 🇿🇦 HOPE worldwide South Africa and practitioners from 16 Early Childhood Development (ECD) Centers in Diepsloot recently welcomed Meredith Krones, the Global PR and Social Purpose Lead for KFC from the USA. Her visit coincided with the distribution of ongoing nutritious food parcels to the 16 centers, benefiting 860 children.  Today, eight million children lack adequate nutrition, making these meals crucial for many in townships with prevalent food insecurity. The meals provided by these ECD centers offer more than sustenance; they provide essential nutrients for growth and development, boosting energy levels, concentration, and immune systems.  Meredith Krones' visit allowed her to witness firsthand the impact of KFC Add Hope donations, highlighting the vital role of this partnership in addressing food insecurity and setting children up for success. In Guatemala City, Escuintla, Solola, and Chimaltenango, volunteers play a crucial role in providing essential services. Spend quality time with children, teaching them oral hygiene and applying fluoride treatments, or assist in the pharmacy counting out vital medications. Among other things, your contribution at the vitamin station helps families overcome waterborne diseases with necessary treatments. Our Community Service Brigades rely on a diverse team, including medical professionals, dentists, pharmacists, psychosocial support experts, and translators. 📚 The Great Equalizer HOPE worldwide HQ staff recently volunteered with Books For Africa (BFA). BFA was founded upon the singular mission to end the book famine in Africa. This incredible organization actively collects, sorts, and ships books, computers, tablets, and library enhancement materials to every country in Africa, creating a collective force for positive change. Through collaboration with global partners, donors, and publishers, BFA is making a tangible difference in communities all over the African continent and our staff had the privilege to be on the ground, sorting books and actively participating in the process. The experience was eye-opening and truly inspiring. In this video recap, we've captured just a glimpse of the incredible moments our team had while being part of BFA's mission for a day.
